Havryil Sydoryk – Piano concert [OTTAWA]
Winner of Estonia’s televised “Classical Stars 2025” competition, Havryil Sydoryk has already lived several musical lives. He started composing at 8, fled Ukraine for Paris after the war began, and now studies at Estonia’s Music and Ballet School. When he’s not at the piano, he’s playing harpsichord with baroque ensembles or writing chamber sonatas.
A note from the Estonian Embassy on the Parliamentary Friendship Group: “Culture—and especially music—has always been an important part of Estonia–Canada relations. We are delighted that the program of the Estonian Parliament’s Estonia–Canada Friendship Group’s visit includes Havryil Sydoryk’s piano concert that not only celebrates our shared cultural ties but also highlights our united support for Ukraine.”
