Havryil Sydoryk – Piano concert [OTTAWA]

17-year-old pianist, composer Havryil Sydoryk brings his Canadian debut concert to Ottawa.

Winner of Estonia’s televised “Classical Stars 2025” competition, Havryil Sydoryk has already lived several musical lives. He started composing at 8, fled Ukraine for Paris after the war began, and now studies at Estonia’s Music and Ballet School. When he’s not at the piano, he’s playing harpsichord with baroque ensembles or writing chamber sonatas.

Performing on the exceptional Steinway at St. Peter’s, Sydoryk brings to life the classics – from Bach, Beethoven and Chopin. The programme also celebrates Estonian and Ukrainian musical heritage with Heino Eller’s (EE) “Liblikas” and “Kellad” and Mykola Lysenko’s (UA) “Elegia.”

The concert coincides with a visit from the Estonia–Canada Parliamentary Friendship Group. Post-show reception with wine included.
