There will be a one-day workshop “Photography is Easy!” for children aged 10-14 at Tartu College on March 2. The workshop takes place at 12:30PM at Tartu College, 310 Bloor Street West (entrance on Madison Avenue). Paid parking is beside the entrance.

The workshop will familiarize you with the camera and how to use it and you will have a chance to take pictures in the Tartu College Archives. Afterwards you will all be able to see the best photos on a large screen. The workshop will last about five hours. Parents are also welcome to stay and they will have use of free Wi-Fi, tea and coffee.

Bring along your digital camera, your lunch and your enthousiasm. A lunch snack and tea will be provided by Tartu College.

Important note: The workshop activities at the Tartu College and VEMU archives will be photographed and filmed. These materials will be used to create a photogallery of the workshop and what was seen in the archives. The parents of participating children are asked for permission to photograph and film their children for this purpose.

Working languages: Estonian and English.

The fee is “pay what you can” to support the VEMU museum building fund.

Early registration is advised since instruction will be given only to 10 children at a time. Preregistration is required. The last day for registration is March 1.

To register and for any questions, please contact Kerly Ilves, huviring@vemu.ca

The registration form can be downloaded here. Please fill it out and bring it to the workshop.
